Dr.
Carlos Cadavez completed his medical studies over a decade ago and upon completion took posts in Emergency Department and Internal medicine in his home country, Portugal. Before moving to Ireland was the head of the Emergency department at one of the busiest Hospitals in Oporto district as well as leading a team with over 90 doctors at the same hospital.
In Ireland started to work in 2017 at the Incorporated Orthopaedic Hospital of Ireland before being accepted on the GP specialist scheme, which he completed in 2022. During his training had rotations through hospitals and medical practices in Ballinasloe, Roscommon, Galway and Athenry. On completion took a position as a GP at the Drogheda Medical Clinic and Duleek Health Centre were his confidence in leading teams in GP Land kept developing.
As a MICGP (Member of the Irish College of General Practitioners), In February 2024 succeeded with the HSE (from several MICGP applicants) to take over a 2500 patients GMS list on a medical practice that was 2 weeks away from closing. Since then, initiated a process of renovating facilities and clinical teams to provide the most updated medical care to his new patients.
Apart from the daily routine GP presentations Dr Carlos has a PGDip of Dermatology, PGDip of Aesthetic Medicine, PGDip of Women’s Health, PGDip of palliative care, Certification in SMEAR taking and certification in STI clinic.
